The debut issue of Jonathan Hickman and Nick Dragotta’s acclaimed science-fiction western, East of West #1 launched one of Image Comics’ standout creator-owned series of the 2010s.

Published by Image Comics in March 2013, the series is set in a dystopian alternate America and centers on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This first issue, “Out of the Wasteland,” introduces the world and several major characters, including Death, Crow, Wolf, Tracker, and Antonia LeVay.
